Helping families build trust, strengthen relationships, and create a calmer everyday family life.

Family life can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when stress, conflict or misunderstanding begin to take over. Therapy offers a space to slow things down, understand what is happening, and find practical ways forward together.

Who I work with

Parents feeling stuck with their child's behaviour and unsure how to move forward

Families with autistic or ADHD children who want to better understand behaviour, communication and emotional needs

Families experiencing conflict or breakdowns in communication at home

Parents navigating difficult transitions such as school challenges, adolescence or changes in family dynamics

I don't look for what's wrong with your child or your family. I look at what's happening in the nervous system, in the relationships, and in the stories being told. And I work with you to shift those.

A relational, nervous-system-informed way of working.

Systemic family therapy · Attachment theory · Narrative practice · Solution focused · Polyvagal theory · Third wave CBT · Low arousal · Scandinavian pedagogy

Rather than viewing difficulties as belonging to one person, I explore how patterns of communication, expectation and interaction within the family shape behaviour and emotional responses. Problems exist in relationships and context, not inside your child.

Central to this approach is anerkendelse, recognition, a concept developed within the Scandinavian pedagogy tradition and one I saw lived out daily across a decade in Danish milieu therapy. Co-regulation sits at the heart of the work: as a parent regulates their own nervous system and offers their child the experience of being genuinely seen, heard and respected, the child's own regulation becomes possible. Drawing on attachment research and this pedagogic lineage, I help families understand what the nervous system is doing and why behaviour makes sense from the inside, so they can respond to what's happening for the child rather than just to the behaviour itself.

Narrative and solution-focused approaches invite families to notice what is already working and to build a different story about who their child is. Third wave CBT, including ACT and compassion-focused work, supports the psychological flexibility that makes lasting change possible.
